About me

I am an organic chemist by training and obtained my PhD in solid state chemistry at the Radboud University in the Netherlands. Royal DSM (today DSM-Firmenich) provided me the opportunity to develop myself as an industrial scientist, R&D and innovation manager focusing on implementation of science-based sustainable solutions in an industrial environment. I got the opportunity to lead the global R&D organization of the Resins Business Group. My last assignment at DSM was to reorganize the corporate research program from competences to external macro trends focused. The last few years I have been employed by TNO as a principal consultant with a focus on the systemic industrial transformation based on the energy- and feedstock transition. The constant factor during my career has been change and transformation.
